Baby Girl

The inside of the card - the middle has an opening to hold a gift card
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!  Can not believe that Sunday is tomorrow!!   This weekend has flown by too quickly but I was able to get several scrapbooking projects completed today, so it was a very productive day!! :)

The project that I have to share today is a card that I made for a friend of mine that just had a baby....this is the 4th person that I know that has had a baby in the last month....I guess it is in the water right now.  :)  She recently moved to North Carolina so I wanted to send a gift card instead of an actual gift, since I don't know what all she has received and still needs.  I learned how to make this 'gift card holder' from Heather, where you create an overlay that you slice a slit the size of a gift card in the middle.  It is such an awesome way to hold the gift card vs. having the gift card just laying inside.  The pictures have a bit of a shadow and are a little dark....sorry!! Should have turned on a lamp....whoops! :(  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

Recipe for this project:
- Baby from Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge cut at 3.5-
- Peachy Keen Stamp - PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment - 3/4" smiley face
- Studio G Clear Stamps - 'Bundle of Joy'
- QuikKutz Revolution Tool with the Square Scalloped diecut
- Gelly Roll Pen - White, Black & Silvery Glitter - Medium
- Glossy Accents
- Paper Studio Ribbons - Bright Pink
-  My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Twine, Charmed
- Pink Button

Out Like a Lamb - Challenge Me Monday #104

Do you know what today is???  It is Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut!!

#104 - Out Like a Lamb - Make a project using a gentle animal.... lamb, kitten, puppy, ect.....

On September 11, 2003, I drove almost 2 hours to pick up my girlie-girl at a yorkie breeder.  The minute I picked Shelbi up, she has had our hearts & both of us wrapped around her paw as well.  Over the last couple years, I keep saying that I need to take all the pictures & make a 'baby book'.  I know....I am one of 'those' people.... :)

The project that I made & submitted for the challenge is the title page that I made to start our 'baby book'.  The photo is the first picture I had taken of her, which is my favorite, I was holding her & she was so tiny she fit in the palm of one hand.  The heart name tage that I tied around the picture with the pink bow is her first 'piece of jewerly'. :)  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

Her & I love Spring Season!! With shopping at green houses for flowers, to planting flowers & the first blooms....so I thought this would be perfect, since the border punch is of daisy's...one of our favorite flowers & the card has a spring-ish theme to it.  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

Yappy Birthday

Hope you all had a great weekend!  My weekend was a great finish to a great birthday week, after being spoiled by my family & friends...I was able to spend Saturday evening scrapbooking/crafting with one of my best friends.  This is the first time I was able to actually scrapbook this enitre week though, since my gift to myself was catching a horrible cold that caused me to miss 3 days of work & even spend my birthday evening in bed. :(  So needless to say....I was not only excited to get out of the house but to also be able to hang out with the bestie while working on some projects.

One of the projects I was able to make was this birthday card for another friend of ours who scrapbooks with us off and on & who's husband I used to work with.  She loves her doggies as much as I do....s much that we treat our animals like they are our kiddos....we dress them up....which is always nice to know that you are not the only one.  :)

This is my baby.....Shelbi.  She loves dress up time with Mommy. :)

I have never posted a picture of my kiddo, and with this post being a card of a doggie for another fellow dog lover, I decided I would. This is Shelbi dressed up in her Halloween costume, which happens to be one of my favorite picture's of her. :)  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

Anniversary Drive

The project that I have to share is an anniversary card that I made for my in-laws who are getting ready to celebrate their 46th Wedding Anniversary.  While thinking of ideas for making the card, I was looking through my booklet for Sweethearts, which I tend to use as my 'go to'  cartridge when making a project for weddings or anniversaries, and came across this image.  I have seen others use this & always wanted to use it myself but just never had, until now.

I wanted to keep with the black, cream & silver colors, but thought that the green color was perfect for the car, since my in-laws have a green older car which they use to 'cruise around town in'.  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

Recipe for this project:
- Car from Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge cut at 4
- Hero Arts Stamp - Everyday Sayings - 'Happy Anniversary'

Luck o' the Irish

Over at Fantabulous Cricut the challenge is: #101 Luck of the Irish....if you haven't gone over to partipate...you need too!  The project that I have to share is a card that I made and am planning on sending to to my in-law's for St. Patrick's Day.  It happens to be one of our favorite holidays!  I have always loved the day, but being married to someone who's family is from & mostly still living in Ireland, makes you really love everything that is Irish. :)  Since meeting his family almost 10 years ago, I love & look forward to our St Patrick's Day family traditions: starting the Irish holiday off with a toast & phone call to the family at 6pm on the St. Patrick's Day Eve (since it would be midnight in Ireland), then on March 17th - having a traditional Irish breakfast at a local Irish restaurant, attending the Kansas City St. Patrick's Day Parade, enjoying Irish beer at local traditional pubs, and then we finish the day off with Corn Beef & Cabbage. Do you have any St. Patrick's Day traditions?  I would love to hear them!!  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!
