"Thank Zoo"

The project I have to share is a Thank You card that I created to send to my sister & her family for allowing us to crash at their place while we were in Phoenix for a vacation.
While we were there, we visited the Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium for the afternoon & had a really good time feeding the Giraffe's and observing the rest of the animals with my nephew. I have not been to a zoo for quite some time and have to admit that I don't know who had a better time; my nephew, my husband or myself.

I was excited to make this card, which is a tri-fold card, which I have wanted to make one for awhile after seeing some cute ones on other blogs, so I knew I wanted to create one for the Zoo Thank You card.
The top of the card is the front Zoo Gate, which flips up when opening, and then the actual Zoo scene opens up from the side, to allow me to write inside the card on both sides.

Recipe for this project:
- Momma Giraffe from Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge cut at 4.5
- Baby Giraffe from Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge cut at 2.5
- Gate from Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge cut at 4
- Sign stating 'Thank You' from Walk in the Garden Cricut Cartridge cut at 2
- Brown chalk around the sign stating 'Thank You'
- Black Gelly Pen to write the 'Thank You' on the sign

Happy Hippo Birthday

The project that I have to share is a 3x3 birthday card for a friend of mine that met at my previous job, we were on the same team & became friends.

She is not a scrapbooker but always liked to see pictures of my projects that I would be working on and was excited when given a hand made card.  She has even commented on joining a group of us scrappers to sit and watch us work on craft projects.  I think she might be a scrapper if given the opportunity and had the tools.

Recipe for this project:
- Card from Cricut Cartridge Birthday Bash, cut at 3x6
- Hippo from Cricut Cartridge Birthday Bash, cut at 2.5
- white gel pen to do the faux stitching

Gobble Gooble

The project that I have to share is for a special couple, my sister's in-laws, as a Thank You for having my husband & I over for an evening of great food and conversation while on vacation.  Every time we have been in Phoenix, they have always welcomed us into their home with open arms along with treating us like part of the family.  My sister's mother-in-law fixed a dinner that was fit for a king, which included a turkey, hence the turkey platter on the card.

Recipe for this project:
- Turkey from Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge
- Texture Boutique
- Baker's Twine
- white gel pen to do the faux stitching
- white chalk around the turkey legs
