Challenge Me Monday - #126 Back to School Cricut Crawl

Page to document his First Bus Ride picture

Page to document his First Day of School picture

It feels like it has been a life time since I have posted anything or even had the chance to scrapbook/craft!  Between my job keeping me busy, family visiting, some serious health issues with a dear friend & returning from a vacation in Cancun, Mexico with my husband....there hasn't been much time.....so when I had a night with one of my best friends to hang out and scrapbook, I jumped on the chance and was able to get several things completed.  Have you been hopping along with Cricut Crawl?  If you haven't, make you way over to Fantabulous Cricut and follow the links to all the design team members links for the Crawl.

#126 - Back to School Cricut Crawl - Make a project using some type of School Supplies (ex. pencils, crayons, paper, ruler, ect).
The project that I created for the Back to School Cricut Crawl is 2 pages that are going into a book I made and gave to a good friend of mine, who's son just started kindergarten.  She has commented several times about how she likes the projects that I have made but doesn't scrapbook herself....she was so excited and loves the book....even as asked if I am going to make more pages for her to put into the book as well as if she gives me the pictures if I would put the entire book together for her.  I guess I have a little one in kindergarten now.... :)  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

Challenge Me Monday - #115 Father's Day

Happy Monday!!  I hope you had a nice weekend!!  It has been very warm in the midwest this weekend, which kept me indoors most of the time where I was able to get some things & projects done!  With it being Monday....it is time for another Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut!! :)

#115 - Father's Day - Make a card using an outdoors theme; hunting, fishing, hiking, ect.

The project that I have to share today for the challenge is a card that I made for my dad for Father's Day.  My poor father was 'blessed' to only have daughters...so I have always done things with my father that he would normally have done with a son, like building things whether that be a shed or furniture, fishing, watching sports. ect.  He even calls be Melvin, which I have come to expect and think is cute.  :)  The older we get, I have come to really appreciate the time that I have with my father, so while making this card, it brought a smile to my face while thinking back on memories of when we would go fishing together.  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

Recipe for this project:
- Fish & Pole from Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge cut at 5
- American Crafts Premium Ribbon - Twine
- White & Silver Gelly Roll Pen Medium, to do the faux stitching

Many Thanks!

I ♥ Action Wobbles!! :)

The inside of the card, which I wanted to make sure that my writing was straight, so the 'notebook paper' worked perfect!
The projects that I have to share today is a card that I made for my mother-in-law.  We recently meet her & a friend of her's for dinner after we got off of work & they finished a day of shopping.  When we were walking out to our cars, she wanted to show us some of the purchases, one being a couple sets of journaling pens for me to use in my scrapbooking.  I was so touched that she would have even thought of me while she was out shopping, that I wanted to make her a personal thank you card for the pens.  I was excited to make this card for two reasons, one being that I adore her as she truly is the best 'mother' anyone could ask for when they get married & the second being that I just got my first package of Action Wobbles...I LOVE them & have a feeling that they will be a constant refilling purchase in my supply tote! :)  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

April Showers - Challenge Me Monday #107

Happy Monday!!  It is time for another Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut!! :)

#107 - April Showers - Make a project with an umbrella, rain, or clouds on it.

The project that I made & submitted for the challenge this week is a card that I am sending to my sister.  As I have mentioned before in a different post, my sister & I have always been close & even though we are seperated by distance and different time zones, we still continue to be close.  We are no different than other sisters in the sense that we had your typical fights...over clothes, taking too longer in the shared bathroom getting ready, but when it came right down too it...we always had each others back....and still do.  :)  Her and her family are planning on coming for a visit in a couple months & planning on staying with my husband and I.  It will be nice to get my baby fix from being around my nephew & niece.  :)  I wanted to send a quick little note to her to tell her how excited I am to see her & the family.

Over at My Craft Spot, the challenge is 'Make it Pop!' - use dimensionals to make some part of your card really stand out, so I am going to also submit this card as well.  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

The project that I have to share is a card that I made for my sister.  She is older than me by 16 months and is more than a 2 hour flight away from me.  We try to talk as much as possible, but there are times we just aren't able too talk as much as we would like, as our schedules are crazy.  We have always had a habit of being able to finish each other's thought & know if something is going on with the other.  While working on projects today, I wanted to make a little quick card that I could write a few lines or so in & mail out to her...just to let her know that I am thinking of her.  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

Baby, it's COLD outside

The project that I have to share is one of 3 designs that I am using for Christmas cards this year.  With not being able to decided on one design this year & having almost 40 cards to make, I figured that I would just make all 3 designs.  I used a variety of looks with each design to give each of them a different look.  I am very happy with how the Christmas cards turned out this year!!  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

(I simply stamped 'Merry Christmas' on the inside of each card)

(A couple different looks of the same design.  On some of the twine I hide the ends, some I tied bows, some I used the velvet ribbon along with flipping the 2 sided paper that has dots on one side & plaid on the other side)

Recipe for this project:
- Penguin from Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge cut at 3
- "Baby, it's COLD outside" from 3 Birds on Parage Cricut Cartridge cut at 2.5
- Merry Christmas (stamped inside) Archiver's Exclusive Snag'em Stamp Duos

- American Crafts Premium Ribbon - White Velvet

When life gives you lemons...

The project that I have to share is a card that I made for my sister & brother-in-law to remind them to think positive thoughts.  They have had several 'issues' happen around their house, the latest major issue being a storm causing their roof to leak that damaged their ceiling and walls, which were just finished with a hand designed painted finish in their house.  While starting to repair the damage, they found a blessing out of the mess, being that they caught a pipe that was not installed properly & was able to have it fixed correctly during the repairs.  I made the card to remind them that I am here for them if they need anything and try to remind them that good things can come out of bad situations.

Recipe for this project:
- Saying from Just Because Cricut Cartridge cut at 3
- Lemon from Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge cut at 2.5
- Lemonade, inside the card, from Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge cut at 3
- Turquoise ribbon
- Turquoise rhinestone jewels
- Photo corner punch to round corners
- White Gelly pen to do the faux stitching
- Black Gelly pen to do the faux stitching
- Stickles for cheeks

Thanks a Melon

The project that I have to share is a card that I made for a friend of mine to say 'thank you' for a beautiful bracelet that she brought me back from Kenya, Africa on a visit she just got back from.  We both worked on the same team at our previous job and have kept in touch after both of us leaving for other jobs.  Last summer she became an American Citizen after leaving her home country of Africa, so when I found the plaid paper with the red, white & blue I thought it would be cute to use the paper on my card.  Hope you like the card & thanks for stopping by and checking out my project.

Recipe for this project:
- 'Thanks a Melon' from Just Becuase Cricut Cartridge cut at 3
- Watermelon from Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge cut at 2.5
- White & Blue Baker's Twine from My Craft Spot
- White Gelly pen to do the faux stitching
- Black Gelly pen to do the faux stitching
