Happy Bee-lated Birthday

Inside the card
The project that I have to share is a birthday card that I made for my newest cube-mate at work.  After being with the company for over 15 years, she transferred into my department from one that was desolved just recently.  When I arrived to work this morning, I found a piece of homemade German Chocolate Cake waiting for me that one of her work friends brought in to celebrate her birthday.  She was so nice to share and leave a piece for me before going to an all day training class.  I was disappointed that I didn't know it was her birthday before hand, so that I could have made her a card for the occasion.  When I got home tonight though, I remembered that I had just the perfect stamp to use & got to work to make a 3x3 card.  Afterwards I told my husband that with a card this cute, I am no longer disappointed about finding out last minute about a birthday.  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!

Blog Award

After being on vacation since the 10th, I am finally getting a chance to get online & check out the blogs that I follow and found that I was awarded the Liebster Award from Heather over at Scrapping Runner Creations.  This is my first award, so I am pretty excited & want to thank Heather for the award!!

Heather did such a great job in the description of the word Liebster & the meaning behind the award, that I wanted to repost it for everyone, as I would not do it justice:

For those that don't know, 'Liebster' is a German word meaning dearest, beloved or favorite and the Liebster Award is sort of a chain letter among bloggers that's intended to showcase exceptional up-and-coming blogs (typically those with 200 or fewer followers).  There's no evaluation committee or formal award process for the Liebster, but in a way it's even nicer - it's recognition that a peer has noticed and appreciated your hard work.

Here are the rules:

1.  Choose 5 up-and-coming blogs with fewer than 200 followers to award the Liebster to.
2.  Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
3.  Post the award on your blog.
4.  Link back to the blogs you have given the Liebster to so everyone else can pay them a visit.

So, here are the 5 bloggers I'd like to pass this award on to:

Sherry at Sherry's Gone Buggy Scrappin' & Stampin'
Melissa at Pink Polka Dot Scrapping
Jo at a little piece of me
Miranda at Nana's Scrap Spot
Karla at Made by Karla

Thanks again Heather!!

One of the projects that I completed and am sharing is a 7Gypsies Tray that I can display in my kitchen.  I have started collecting Roosters in my kitchen & during a visit to Arizona, my husband and I stopped in Sedona where we find a shop & took the picture of a rooster which I was able to use in the tray to display it in a different way other than just a frame.  Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!!
